Our Team

Harkaway Farm, where striving for excellence is in our DNA. For 60 years, our family-run buinsess has fostered successful riders both in and out of the show ring. Harkaway is a full-service facility offering top-notch equine care, along with a passion for precision. Our team provides customized training for riders of all levels, in all facets of the sport.

Tracy Freels

Tracy has spent her entire life in the ring both in the saddle and on the ground. She honed her skills under the tutelage of her parents, Bob and Jeri Freels and often jokes that her first babysitter was her pony.

Tracy competed in the children's divisions as a young girl but quickly moved up and became the youngest rider to compete at Madison Square Garden at that time. She went on to win numerous hunter and jumper divisions. At a young age, she changed her focus to bringing along young horses some of whom went on to enjoy illustrious careers including Montage and Medicine Man and many more. She now enjoys sharing her knowledge and love for riding with all of her clients.

Susie Isop

Susie and Tracy share more than a profound love for horses, they are sisters and best friends. Susie's impeccable management of the barn is matched only by her unbelievable care of the horses from both a conventional and holistic approach. From her natural remedies for common skin problems and a proactive process to preventing injury and discomfort, Susie works closely with our veterinarian to promote the overall health and wellbeing of each and every horse and pony.  She is also a favorite among our youngest riders as she has an uncanny ability to instill immediate confidence in even the most inexperienced and beginner riders.

Hannah Isop

Hannah continues the family tradition of excellence in equine care. An accomplished and humble professional rider, Hannah bridges two generations. When she is not in the ring training the next up and coming young rider, helping to perfect the equitation of a seasoned rider or enjoying the trails with a client, Hannah can be found competing in some of the top classes in the country. She has competed, placed and won in shows including the USHJA International Hunter Derby Championship at Kentucky Horse Park, the $10,000 Hunter Derby at OSF, $50,000 Duchossios Cup at Central Park, WCHR Developing Pro Challenge, the Devoucoux Hunter Prix at HITS, Fairfield County Grand Prix and numerous hunter and jumper divisions at WEF. It is a rare treat for her clients to be able to lesson with her and then watch her ringside as she demonstrates the skills and techniques which she is teaching them.
